DevOps - Kubernetes Expert (Contract)

Location: Dublin West Country: Ireland Rate: Negotiable

DevOps Cloud Container Technologist

Exciting opportunity for Cloud technologist who will work within the Enterprise Cloud Computing DevOps product team to focus on enabling Kubernetes for the enterprise.


  • 4+ years' experience in Large Application Development Automation and Cloud Native implementations
  • Subject matter expertise on Kubernetes, Containers, Docker and Serverless offerings
  • Practical working knowledge of AWS CloudFormation, core principles, etc.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, Container Concepts and Deployment Automation patterns and strategies
  • Fluency in core/Scripting languages such as Python as well as strong Unix skills
  • Java, Go would be a plus
  • Working knowledge of 12 Factor engineering principles
  • AWS Cloud and/or Kubernetes Certification would be a plus

The Role

  • Identify functional & non-functional requirements that are not currently met by the required capabilities and advocate solutions to address these gaps. Apply appropriate approaches to assessing trade-offs among architectural goals
  • Participate in problem solving and advanced technical troubleshooting to assist the organization; drive resolution to technical issues; lead and perform impact analysis
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up like development environment with passion for building and operating highly available services. Coach and mentor the technical team on IT Product/Application Strategy and Architecture
  • Ability to build relationship with development teams with quick alignment of value and understanding of the business and technolog.
