Experienced Ecologist
Rivus Limited is a leading ecological engineering company delivering nature-based solutions to today's environmental challenges .We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our expanding environmental team.
Applicants should be self-starters and ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in ecological consultancy.
Minimum requirements:
Relevant third level Degree (Level 8 or higher); A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within the field of ecological consultancy; Experience undertaking Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reporting requirements. Experienced in aquatic monitoring, surveying, and reporting. Must be comfortable, where appropriate and safe to do so, with working within water bodies to carry out aquatic surveys; Largely working from our Kilkenny office but willing to work in our Cork offices when required; Competent in the use of Microsoft Office; QGIS mapping skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
The following would be advantageous:
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM); Understanding Nature Based ecological engineering solutions. Applicants should hold a full clean driver's license and a vehicle so they can travel for surveys. What we offer:
