Overview
As the Lead SAP Solution Architect, you will be the visionary and technical anchor for our enterprise-wide migration from SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA. You are responsible for designing a future-proof digital core that minimizes technical debt while maximizing the value of S/4HANA's innovations, such as Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and the Universal Journal.
You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that the transition is seamless, data-driven, and aligned with industry best practices.
Skills:
1. Solution Design & Functional Leadership
- Process Re-engineering: Lead workshops to evaluate "Fit-to-Standard" vs. "Fit-to-Gap," steering stakeholders toward standard S/4HANA functionalities.
- Functional Expertise: Apply deep knowledge across core modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP) to guide the redesign of the New General Ledger (G/L) and Business Partner (BP) conversion.
- Architecture Roadmap: Define the end-to-end architecture, including integration with third-party systems using SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
2. Data Migration Strategy
- ETL Management: Oversee the data journey from Legacy ECC to S/4HANA using SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) or SAP Data Services.
- Data Integrity: Define objects for the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and ensure data cleansing, mapping, and validation protocols are strictly followed.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Methodology: Implementation of SAP Activate Methodology throughout the project life cycle.
- Test Orchestration: Define the strategy for Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automation: Leverage tools like SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) or Focused Build to track defects and manage the transport landscape.
4. Technical Governance
- Evaluate the impact of the Simplification List on existing custom code (WRICEF).
- Lead the "Clean Core" strategy by converting Legacy ABAP enhancements into side-by-side extensions where possible.
