Cobol Developer/Fully remote/150.00$ per day (Contract)
Location: Remote  Country: Mauritius Rate: 150 USD per day
 

Excellent long term contract role for experienced Cobol Developers.

150.00 $ per day.

12 - 24 months plus

Vacancies for onsite and remote.

A Cobol developer with 4+ years experience with the following skills:

  • Sound knowledge of IBM iseries
  • Cobol 400 native
  • SQL400
  • AS400 environment ( Should be familiar with commands like WRKACTJOB,DSPJOBLOG,DSPMSG error messages eg MCH603)
  • CLP/Queries/SQLCBL/LDA
  • Logical files
  • Exposure to insurance sector would be an advantage

Our client is looking for a dynamic candidate with a positive attitude and a critical mind who will easily adapt to the working environment and perform the following duties:

  • Understand the coding and logic behind existing Cobol programs and be able to relate to the business needs. Provide documentation/program specifications of existing Cobol programs.
  • troubleshooting and bug fixing of existing Cobol programs
  • Maintain/develop, test and deploy Cobol programs
  • Help in the migration of Legacy Cobol coding to new technologies
