Senior IS Project Manager - Amsterdam - 93 Euros per hour - 6 months

Global travel company requires an experienced IS Project Manager to help delivery information systems into a new location in Amsterdam. This company is a European household name with a fantastic band and product offering.

The scope of the role is as follows:

• Be responsible of the delivery of all IS solutions in the new Amsterdam facility on time, scope and on budget.
• Work closely with the Amsterdam team/lead to build a detailed understanding of IS projects required for the opening of the new facility (capacity to identify challenges, potential risks, potential opportunities to mitigate risks, )
• Liaise with pre-assigned Project Managers, to ensure general follow-up of project key metric (timelines, scope, budget, issues and risk management) and ensure alignment with general project need.
• Provide regular, detailed reports highlighting progress, risks, issues, decisions required, etc
• Produce project plans and ensure timely delivery against milestones agreed with stakeholders
• Project Manage the implementation and the delivery of announcement and digital signage systems.
• Liaise with internal IS teams and external vendors to define the scope of additional technical changes needed to support the business needs and requirements and define and control budgets and plan of all required technical changes.
• Liaise closed with internal managers to monitor the delivery of a POC related to a new flow passenger tracking system.
• Work closely with the IT Infrastructure project manager and architecture team to support the delivery of the IT infrastructure components.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in the management of complex and diverse projects from planning stages to implementation).
• Based in the Netherlands or close to Amsterdam
• Experience in delivering solutions in Public environment (such as Stations, Airports, shops)
• Experience of working in a Waterfall or Agile environment.
• Experience of managing a project being delivered by multiple suppliers (internal developers and a third party technology provider)
• Experience of working cross departmentally with IT and Business stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
• Confident in a complex and sometimes ambiguous working environment.
• Ability to lead meetings and challenge stakeholders.
• Ability to find solutions and resolve conflicts
• Numerate and commercially aware
• Take responsibility at every opportunity
• A good knowledge of application tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including at senior levels. Confident and assertive in a complex and sometimes ambiguous working environment; able to achieve buy-in from key stakeholders
• Ability to build relationships at multiple levels and influence discussions and decisions, including.

This contract offers 93 euros an hour (750 euro per day) for an initial 6 month contract. The contract requires 3 days a week in the facility with 2 days worked from home.
