Solution Architect (Contract)

Location: Poland Rate: Market Rate
  • Solution Architect
  • £ market rate
  • 6-month remote contract with occasional days in Warsaw or Krakow (Poland)
  • Outside IR35

A market leading, global business needs a highly skilled and accomplished English and Polish speaking Solution Architect to support the design and assurance of cyber security project solutions for delivery to the business units.

The Programme comprises an exciting portfolio of 6 workstreams and 34 Projects. Current discovery activity across many projects will identify how global solutions will need to translate into deliverable solutions for each of five business units

Key Responsibilities:

The Solution Architect will be focused on, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Cyber Security Discovery & Analysis

  • Assist the global Cyber Programme project teams and vendors in investigating and analysing the local Business Unit systems environment, its cyber security maturity and current levels of risk.

Cyber Solution Design

  • Assist the global Cyber Programme project teams and vendors in defining Solution Design solutions for delivery to the business.
  • Review and translate global cyber project solutions into solution architecture deliverables for the local Business Unit environments.

Cyber Solution Assurance

  • Review global cyber project solutions and supporting deliverables, providing feedback and proposed improvements where appropriate.
  • Support the validation and testing of cyber project solutions for deployment to local Business Unit environments.
  • Work with Test Leads, testers, vendors and stakeholders to deliver the desired standards of security, performance, accessibility and useability.

Cyber Solution Delivery

  • Working alongside others in the local Business Unit Cyber Projects team, assist the global Cyber Programme global project teams and vendors to deploy the security solutions into the local business environment (as appropriate), ensuring cut-over for new tooling and all configuration changes are made in a timely manner and are right-sized & performant.

Skills & Experience


  • 3-5 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity projects.
  • Basic knowledge about the functioning, implementation, integration and operation of elements of security tools, elements of cloud security, asset management, data protection and privacy, LGPD and IAM tools.
  • Strong foundations in software engineering, specifically at the architectural level.
  • Strong foundations in public cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
  • Advanced knowledge of security practices for AWS environments: Cloudwatch, Guard Duty, etc.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of at least three of the following areas and an appreciation of the rest:
    Endpoint Protection tools (Kaspersky, Defender, McAfee, Crowdstrike and Sophos);
  • Office 365 protection tools;
  • Web Application Firewall - Akamai, Azure and AWS;
  • Firewall, IPS, IDS, AntiDDoS, Posture, SD-WAN;
  • Vulnerability Management;
  • Threat behaviour analysis tools: EDR, XDR, NDR;
  • Microsoft Infrastructure, AD, GPOs and baselines;
  • Linux Infrastructure;
    • Able to effectively communicate and author using the English language.
