SAP Variant Configuration specialist

For an international organization operating in a Configure-to-Order (CTO) environment, we are looking for an experienced SAP Variant Configuration (VC) Specialist. The focus is on designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex configuration models within SAP, using a configurator solution built on top of the standard SAP VC engine.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize SAP Variant Configuration (VC) models
• Work primarily with classic LO-VC (ECC/S/4HANA)
• Build and maintain:
• Characteristics, classes, and configuration profiles
• Object dependencies (constraints, procedures, selection conditions)
• Support Configure-to-Order (CTO) processes
• Work with a configurator solution built on top of standard SAP VC (off-the-shelf SAP configurator)
• Ensure correct integration with Sales (SD) and where relevant, manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and improve model performance and usability

Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Variant Configuration (VC)
• Proven experience in CTO scenarios
• Solid understanding of classic LO-VC
• Experience with third-party or layered configurators on top of SAP VC (eg Crealis or similar)
• Senior-level profile (specialist/expert)
• Able to work independently in complex configuration environments

Contract details

• Freelance assignment
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 1 year + long-term potential
• Location: Remote, preferably Polish based
