Are you ready to elevate your career in network engineering? We're seeking a dynamic and skilled Technical Network Engineer to join our team in Stockholm on a 12+ month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Configuration & Installation: Set up various network devices and services including Routers, Switches, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Traffic Engineering & Monitoring: Manage traffic usage, monitor performance, and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Resource Utilization & Planning: Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Level-3 Support & Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the operations team to resolve issues and provide advanced support.
- Change Management: Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure successful network changes.
- Security Implementation: Work with the security team to select and implement policies and procedures.
- Global Network Solutions: Develop, build, and manage network solutions globally, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, and ACI Data Centre Environment.
- Project Advisory & Implementation: Provide expert advice on designing, planning, and implementing network infrastructure projects.
- High Priority Incident Support: Assist with high priority incidents and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain documentation of network designs and ensure knowledge sharing among product teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Strive for cost efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement of network solutions.
- Service Management: Follow all Service Management Processes, including Change, Configuration, Problem, and Incident Management.
- Cloud Transition: Support the journey towards cloud-based solutions by staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Essential Technical Skills:
- IP Networking: Deep understanding and experience in IP Networking.
- Network Foundations: Expertise in LAN, WAN, DNS, NAT, VPN, and routing.
- Networking Protocols: In-depth knowledge of IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
- Diagnostic Tools: Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and analytics tools.
- Cloud Networking: Proficient in cloud networking.
- Network Troubleshooting: Skilled in network troubleshooting with tools like pcap, Wireshark, and NetFlow.
- DevOps Methodology: Experience and understanding of developing with DevOps methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued).
- Models & Methodologies: Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model and Agile methodology.
- Education: University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Azure Cloud: Basic understanding or experience with Azure cloud.
- Scripting: Experience in Scripting and programming (eg, Python).
- ServiceNow: Basic knowledge or experience.
- Network Automation: Experience in network automation and network as a code concept.
- Network Security: Understanding and experience with network security products (IPS, Proxy, Firewall, reverse-Proxy, load balancing).
