Our client, a global leading Mobile telecommunications IDM research centre based in Gothenburg, Sweden, is currently seeking a highly skilled System Simulation Engineer. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge communication systems through system-level simulation and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Research: Conduct in-depth research on system simulation and channel modelling, with a focus on developing advanced simulators.
System Analysis: Perform top-down system analysis to identify and define key requirements for mobile terminals in diverse communication scenarios.
Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of new ideas and architectures through simulation, providing insights for system optimization and innovation.
Qualifications Requirements:
Education: Minimum of an MSc or PhD in Communication Engineering, Signal Processing, Computational Electromagnetics, or related field.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in wireless communication system performance evaluation and optimization.
Strong knowledge of channel modelling in wireless communication, including various environmental conditions.
Proficiency in 5G NR system architecture, transceiver components, and standards.
Experience with phased array antenna systems and joint communication-sensing system modelling.
Familiarity with computational electromagnetics.
Skills:
Proficient in Python programming and ray-tracing simulation tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Personal Attributes:
Self-motivated with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel within Europe and China, if required.
