Sign Installer (PT) (Part Time/Temporary/Seasonal)

Location: Norfolk Virginia Country: United States of America Rate: $11.50 - $14.09 per hour
 

Hourly Wage: $11.50 - $14.09

The Sign Installer is responsible for installing signs on behalf of HRT making sure they are correctly placed and connected and meet all customer requirements. The Sign Installer is in charge of placing, installing, and removing all necessary signs. In addition, repair and modify signs. The Sign Installer must work well in a team setting with the installers on big projects to finish all sign objectives in a timely manner. The Sign Installer will report progress to the Sr Sign Installer.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs the mounting, instillation and removal of advertising signage on all HRT rolling stock in the bus operations in Hampton.
  • Communicate daily on progress of instilling advertising campaigns and operational.
  • Receives all of the advertising material and responsible for the inventory and storage.
  • Monitor all advertising signage for damage or loss and report findings to the Sign Installer Supervisor.
  • Provide a monthly inventory of all bus rolling stock in Hampton.
  • Manage records created and received in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policy and Procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a general awareness of HRT's EMS.
  • Responsible for handling all related job responsibility in accordance to HRT's Environmental Policy, relevant EMS Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Management Plan.
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect one's self, fellow employees, and the public from injury or harm.
  • Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as assign.

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to the Job Functions:

Must have the ability to work independently.

Required Software Knowledge and Skills essential to the Job Functions:

Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential. Basic problem solving skills associated with software applications used is expected. Software usage relevant to job duties will be evaluated.

Software applications:

Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Internet Explorer

Training and/or Education:

Associate degree from a accredited two-year College or High School diploma. Appropriate experience may substitute for degree.

Required Experience:

Experience in sign and vinyl instillation desirable but not required.

Licenses or Certificates:

Virginia Driver's License

This position is classified as non-essential personnel.
