Data Analyst (mid-level) (Full Time)
Location: Wilmington Massachusetts Country: United States of America
The Data Analyst is responsible for analysing and documenting data requirements for major implementations of ERP/COTS systems, custom applications, and Business Intelligence solutions. This role interacts with end-users and business analysts to understand key data entities, data structures and reporting needs in capturing detailed data requirements. The position requires strong data analysis, problem-solving, business process, time management and reporting skills. This role is Remote during Covid only and will then need to be onsite in Wilmington MA so candidates should be local to the area.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with key business users and stakeholders to define data requirements, resolve data issues and validate data procedures and results
- Identify, document, and validate scope, data requirements and system/infrastructure solutions
- Research and document source to target data mappings and associated data transformations for data migration/integration projects
- Validate data solutions for completeness and accuracy and work with key users, business analysts and management to gain acceptance/signoff
- Be a self-starter with solid interpersonal skills - projecting a very positive customer-service-oriented attitude
Experience needed:
- 5 years' experience as a data analyst or related role in supporting large data projects
- Strong experience with ERP implementations, with at least the following capabilities: Customer Relationship Management, Order to Cash, Inventory and Material Management, Incentive Compensation
- Experience in customer management, contracts, product, pricing, invoicing, and commissions preferred
- Experience with mapping source to target systems with large data models
- Proficient in SQL for database query, troubleshooting and reporting
- Experience with data governance, master data management, data warehouse and Business Intelligence preferred
- Ability to understand and work with large quantities of data to identify trends, errors, and gaps
Education
- BS or MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and manage concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Impeccable customer service and interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communications skills mandatory
- Expert in Excel and proficient in other MS Office tools
- Experience with agile project management techniques preferred
