IT Contracts and Vendor Management Analyst (Contract)

Location: Cleveland, OH Country: United States of America
Our direct, well-known client located in a NE suburb of Cleveland is looking for a detail-oriented and energetic IT Contracts and Vendor Management Analyst for a 12 month contract with possible extensions. This Fortune 150 company needs help with their backlog of IT (software and hardware) procurement work - and your responsibilities would encompass tasks like devising sourcing strategies, managing/analysing vendors, coordinating the creation of contracts with vendors and legal teams, and negotiating contract prices. - Technical aptitude and the ability to analyze IT requirements to determine the appropriate vendor to deliver business needs
- Negotiation skills and ability to influence others through sharing information and gaining commitment
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences
- Facilitation and meeting management skills with the ability to create a framework that encourages participation and productivity
- Presentation skills and ability to present information in various ways to meet audience needs
- Ability to read and interpret IT Legal Contracts, SOWs, and other Agreements for key terms and legal clause
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to interact with customers
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills, analytical skills and experience in relationship management
- Basic understanding of sourcing operations
- Experience conducting technology-based RFPs (mostly software based)
- Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and rates
- Basis understanding of software licensing
- Technical knowledge (various technologies)
- Good financial skills and understanding
- Vendor management skills
- Good understanding of IT Hardware and Software Sourcing Contracts
- Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data from various sources to determine next steps and choose the best method to display the data
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business or IT related discipline (eg, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of two years of experience in business, sourcing and/or developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years related work experience in business, sourcing and/or developing and maintaining vendor relationships may be accepted.


- Knowledge of Business and Information Technology functions and road maps, best practices and regulatory standards
- Ability to align local goals and direction with IT vision, strategy and priorities
- Contract negotiations, monitoring and management skills
