Description

Based in New York City, you will be responsible for directing and managing the activities of 6 supervisors and 15 operators who control power distribution, train movement, automatic and manual and for safely transporting passengers from Point A to Point B. You will enter, remove and divert trains to support availability schedules accountables for the appropriate administration of all policies and procedures for normal operations, failure management and emergency response.

In your role you will:

Develop and implement safety policies, practices and operational initiatives that comply with all procedures, laws and regulations for automatic and manual train movements;

-
Lead employees to adhere to rules to deliver safe and reliable service;

-
Educate staff on safe operating procedures, monitor safety performance;

-
Develop objectives and evaluate performance against objectives and create a challenging and supportive work environment that inspires safety, commitment and teamwork;

Evaluate and prioritize operating schedules, maintenance assignments, entering, removing and diverting trains while adhering to safe automatic and manual rules and procedures for normal, recovery and emergency train operations;

Demonstrate leadership with sound business ethics, consitently acting and behaving in ways that are aligned with Bombardier's Values and Corporate's and Organization's Goals.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

-
You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent management work experience in transportation industry;

-
You have minimum five (5) years of experience in Automatic Train Control and progressive management of people, processes and technology;

-
You have expert level of knowledge of computer driven software applications, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MAXIMO and Automatic Train Control;

-
You have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
