Benefits Administrator (Full Time)

Location: Downtown Cleveland Ohio Country: United States of America

Thompson Hine is currently seeking candidates for a Full time (40 hrs/wk) Benefits Administrator role in our Downtown Cleveland office. The primary function of this role is to provide timely, accurate, and excellent service in the areas of benefits, health, and well-being to all Firm members. This individual will be the primary liaison between vendors and plan participants.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;

  • Administer benefit plans, including the medical self-insurance process, procedures, banking, and related general ledger tasks, including administrative support for Welfare Benefits Committee.
  • Prepare, audit and submit monthly medical, dental, W-2 reporting and life insurance and other benefit billing in a timely fashion. Process Partner DCAP reimbursements.
  • Responsible for conducting benefit orientation communications and materials for Open Enrollment and all new and re-hired partners and employees.
  • Manage the Firm wide health and wellness program.
  • Design and distribute benefit communications as necessary.
  • Stay up to date on all compliance matters for benefits under ACA, ERISA, etc.

High school diploma required. Bachelors Degree in human resources, accounting, finance or other business-related field strongly desired. At least 5+ years of benefits administration, human resources or office administration experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have HRIS experience with focus on data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Regular attendance, punctuality, the ability to work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines are essential functions of this position. Individuals in this role should also have the ability to adjust their regular work schedule, as required.
