IT Manufacturing Execution Systems (Full Time)

Location: Charlotte, NC Country: United States of America

Corning Incorporated in Midland, NC seeks IT Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Project Engineer.

Will be responsible for working with engineering and operations teams to implement IT-related software improvements to optimize manufacturing processes. Duties include: developing and modifying software systems that support manufacturing processes related to the development of single mode optical fiber products; developing web-based and stand-alone applications to optimize manufacturing execution software; serving as a subject-matter-expert for the development of MES specific to the manufacture of optical fiber; serving as an expert on MES ancillary data feeds and reporting systems; and managing projects to ensure objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints. Position requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field + 4 years of software development experience in a manufacturing environment.

Must include: experience with software development platforms, including C and Visual Basic; experience with .NET languages (ie C# and VB.NET); experience with Camstar or Factory Works; and experience with SQL (ie Oracle, SQL Server, MS-Access).
