Email Marketing Manager (Full Time)

The Cleveland Orchestra has been for decades a point of pride in its hometown.

It is universally admired for its world-class credentials, its gifted musicians, and its acoustically perfect and visually stunning concert hall. The orchestra welcomes people of all ages, all walks of life, and invites them to experience something that is unique in the world.

We are currently seeking an Email Marketing Manager who will play a key role in helping The Cleveland Orchestra deepen relationships with patrons by creating relevant, personalized and engaging communications for customers with the goal of prospecting for new fans, and building loyalty from current ticket buyers and subscribers across the Orchestra's various venues and products. This role is responsible for planning, developing and executing the email marketing for all the Orchestra's ticket promotion and customer experience activities, as well as collaborating/coordinating with other departments' email communication programs.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with 3-5 years previous similar work experience with a focus in analytics and/or digital marketing; nonprofit or performing arts marketing experience a plus.
  • Experience with email marketing, marketing automation and CRM databases. WordFly, Mailchimp, Mail2, and Tessitura experience highly desirable. Strong experience with Google Suite (analytics, tag manager, optimize), as well as proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. HTML/CSS skills a plus.
  • Inquisitive and innovative, especially in regard to keeping up to date with industry best practices and implementing new strategies. Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics.
  • Adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail and exceptional accuracy. Demonstrated independent, mature judgment.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional image and demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach.
  • Must be able to travel locally between meetings, job sites and events.
  • Knowledge of and passion for classical music preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
