Based in New York City, you will provide management oversight for all vehicles and wayside maintenance activities during the overnight shift, where most work primarily takes place. You will be responsable of areas as Track, Facilities, Power, Vehicles and Electronics departments. You will require safety standard adherence, service reliability and goals associated with preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including track work, guideway, structures, station doors, traction power supply and distribution system, communication system and vehicles.

In your role you will:

Exercise leadership and supervision over the personnel and activities of the organization and ensure employees adhere to all safety rules and company operating polices and Code of Ethics including contractors and vendors;

Understand and applicate of the commercial contract, requires and meet maintenance performance targets as outlined in the commercial agreement;

Be responsible of decisions regarding operational and personnel matters including allocation of resources, performance appraisals, employee development, and corrective actions;

Ensure planned work activities are completed safely and on time;

Collaborate with Operations department to coordinate work activity start and end times;

Manage work order process, ensuring all work orders are completed with detailed information;

Close all work orders within the shift work is completed;

Maintain Maximo work order process and all corrective work orders must be addressed within 90 calendar days.


As our ideal candidate:

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Health and Environment, Science, Management or Engineering;

You have minimum five (5) years of experience in railroad operations or demonstrated equivalent;

You have working knowledge of maintenance management processes and systems;

You own ability to understand and coordinate complex technical issues that required the use of project management techniques and statistic and knowledge of electronics, and basic mechanical skill set;

You possess the ability to understand and solve complex technical problems and develop recommendations for improved quality standards and practices;

You have the ability to fundamentally understand maintenance activities covering track, vehicles, electronics and facilities.

You have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
