SQL DBA Developer (Full Time)

Location: Overland Park, Kansas Country: United States of America

This role will support the SQL Server Database including both DBA work (60%) as well as development (40%)

This is a mission critical role that is responsible for the reliability, security of data, health of backup systems, and scalability of data systems. This person will work hand-in-hand with Cloud Engineering and Software Engineers to tune performance, perform system monitoring, and design new systems.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for security, availability and integrity of existing MS SQL Database Servers.

Recommend, design and build out of new database systems cluster and high availability groups.

Analyzes and troubleshoots problems related to SQL Server Environment.

Maintains SQL Server plans for planning and business continuity.

Designs and documents database architecture.

Design, recommend and implement appropriate storage to ensure optimum performance and availability of all database Servers.

Develops security measures and policies for SQL Server to prevent unauthorized access.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience with administration of Microsoft SQL Server.

Ability to create stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, and query optimization plans.

Strong familiarity with hardware/software troubleshooting techniques including network administration; networking; and complex multi-tier applications and databases.
