Human Resources Assistant (Full Time)

We are seeking candidates for a Full time (40 hours per week) Human Resources Assistant in our downtown Cleveland office. The primary function of this position will be to provide assistance in the areas of recruiting, file maintenance, and various departmental activities.

Specific job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Various responsibilities relative to staff recruiting, including but not limited to, create recruiting plans, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, monitoring ViRecruit, teaming with the hiring manager to identify the best candidates, and handling all scheduling of interviews and screens.
  • Track and monitor new hire paperwork through the RedCarpet onboarding system. Maintain accurate records of paperwork received and complete audits on a regular basis. Ensure background checks are completed in a timely fashion and review the results to ensure they meet Firm standards.
  • Team with Senior Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Specialist in maintaining the RedCarpet orientation and onboarding portal as well as the ViRecruit applicant tracking system.
  • Team with other department personnel to coordinate filing, organization and security of confidential personnel, medical, retirement, and I-9 files. Regularly update I-9 files to reflect personnel changes.
  • Assist with Human Resources departmental records management. Request records as needed.
  • Assist with entry and distribution of HR and Payroll data into HRIS.
  • Scan all terminated files for Manager review.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and two to five years of administrative assistant experience, preferably in the HR realm. Bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, finance or other business related field strongly desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and have advanced knowledge and proficiency of spreadsheet development and Microsoft Excel.
