The Sterile Processing Distribution (SPD) Technician is responsible for decontaminating, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, packaging, and sterilizing instrumentation for surgical cases, clinics and the nursing units. Follows protocols to ensure equipment/instrumentation processing meets standards for AAMI and organizational Infection Control guidelines.
