Shift Information: Day Job
Position Summary:
  • Responsible for ensuring the provision of school health services to the student population in serviced areas.
  • Demonstrates leadership and participates in Human Resources and management tasks.
  • Provides the clinical care necessary within the institution, including routine, special needs, and emergency first aide, and oversees health aide delivery of care in the School Nurse s absence.
  • Communicates directly and routinely with hospital management, school officials, parents/guardians, and allied health professionals.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • 1 year of working experience as an RN is required.
  • Experience in School Health OR a BSN is required.
  • Must be familiar with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and interact with people in a friendly, supportive manner at all time.
  • Must have the ability to deal with a variety of situations and student personalities.
  • Must be certified in BLS, specifically with Healthcare Provider Training.
  • Must be willing to travel to various school districts throughout the region (up to 30 miles).
  • Must have reliable transportation.
