Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for leading our North American sales activities to grow our membership by selling our Cybersecurity Certifications and associated training products to the financial and banking industry. This position is assigned to support our North American Region with offices in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare an annual account sales strategy for the top banking and financial companies in the United States and Canada
  • Plan and execute sales activities that align with the strategy and meet your annual revenue quota
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline, proactively and consistently introducing sales opportunities with targeted prospects that include both new and existing accounts, and close sales successfully
  • Prepare and give presentations to key, influential decision makers within your accounts including CISO's and tech leaders on our portfolio of offerings with a focus on the financial and banking industry.
  • Develop strategic relationships for industry organizations that support the (ISC) mission and benefit the business, reputation and membership of (ISC)
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports on as needed basis
  • Demonstrate a commitment to raising customer awareness and understanding of our entire portfolio of (ISC) 2 products and services.
  • Proficient in account planning and understanding of territory management
  • Manage forecast accuracy on both a quarterly and annual basis
  • Fiscal responsibility with regards to expense management
  • In-depth knowledge of (ISC) 2 certification and training programs
  • Miscellaneous duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • University degree preferred but will consider relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Requires 7- 10 years of successful business development selling to mid and large corporate and financial industry accounts, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals, preferably with experience in one or more of the following career fields (IT, cybersecurity, training, education, certification)
  • Must have previously carried quotas of at least $1M annually, working in various national markets
  • Brings a portfolio of established relationships that include Fortune 500 companies and key contacts in the financial and banking industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce, required
  • Proven experience in both "hunting" (establishing new accounts) and "farming" (growing existing accounts)
  • Previous experience in selling training and certification with a preference in IT and cybersecurity preferred.
  • Ability to prospect, manage and build excellent C-level and senior-level relationships, offering programmatic and value-added insight into their business as it relates to our offerings
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating large contracts, while coordinating closely with legal counsel, finance department, and senior management

  • Self-starter who provides creative and pragmatic solutions to business issues and challenges

Physical & Mental:
  • Work extended hours or overtime, when necessary
  • 35% or greater travel required
  • Travel to meet prospective clients, attend company meetings and participate in trade and marketing events
  • Work in an office environment using dual monitor computer screens
  • Sitting for extended periods
