Accounts Receivable Specialist
About the role:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing assigned aged accounts receivables. Required to contact insurance payers to follow up on all outstanding claims. Must also contact the payer to resolve any denied claim discrepancies. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for handling a minimum of 35 accounts daily.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review of aged accounts receivables.
- Follow up with payers on outstanding submitted claims.
- Able to work a minimum of 35 accounts a day.
- Appeal to insurance company denied claims when resolution by payer contact is unsuccessful.
- Reviews Explanation of benefits to ensure the claims are adjudicated according to contractual allowable and proper payments and adjustments have been received.
- Able to review accounts with the patient advocates to explain patient responsibility when necessary.
- Regularly meet with accounts receivable supervisor to discuss and resolve obstacles
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including special projects.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- 5 years experience with revenue cycle management
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor s Degree
- Excellent customer service skills and phone manner
- Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
- Must have good computer skills
