POSITION: U.S. General Manager Flexibly Packaging

LOCATION: East Coast - Near an Airport

International Clean-Tech company that has disruptive packaging technology solutions, is recruiting a high-energy Executive Sales Manager that has experience selling into the Flexible Packaging Industry.

Individual will be expected to open the U.S. Market and grow the company's presence here.

The successful candidate will be energetic, persuasive well organized and able to demonstrate the ability to sell. Individual MUST have a network into the Packaging Industry and a track record of sales success.

Individual can live anywhere, as long as they are willing to travel. Optimal locations would probably be Chicago to Atlanta.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify key decision makers and influencers beyond purchasing and develop close relationships with those decision makers
  • Identify account needs and key buying factors beyond price
  • Assess account opportunities, account trends and define potential customer needs/wants.
  • Develop and maintain action plans to achieve targets and identify specific actions to improve revenue/earnings
  • Develop and maintain an account plan for each core account
  • Develop and maintain an account file for each non-core account
  • Maximize sales, sales growth and profitability of accounts in the territory

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advance Business or Engineering (Industrial or other) Degree
  • 5 years of experience pre-sales/sales experience in the Flexible Packaging Industry.
  • Technical understanding of Flexible Packaging - Plus
  • Experience working with large scale food brands.
  • Experience working with food processors
  • Attend key customer meetings and develop relationships throughout the buying chain
  • Support the development of new business with target accounts in both branded and private brand initiatives
  • Provide timely report to management on key opportunities, new business, business at risk, market trends and competitive data.
  • Work closely with Project Marketing Team providing input to help develop special products/needs for Private Brand/Custom initiatives for accounts to support the overall sales strategy.
  • Having worked with compliance/food safety requirements - Plus
  • Must be willing to travel extensively, including some International.
