Job Description

The Account Executive is responsible for the entire sales cycle, from generating new prospects through contract signature. This is a Full time position based out of Higher Logic's Arlington, VA office.


  • Generate new clients through cold calling and networking within a defined market.
  • Strategically target, qualify, contact and close new business prospects.
  • High activity volume of calls and emails daily.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date list of all sales pipeline activity, including leads, prospects, forecasts, demographic profiling information, prospect contact information and account planning information in Salesforce.
  • Maintain the highest level of expertise on Higher Logic's features, functionality, pricing and implementation timeline.
  • Deliver tailored online web presentations to prospects.
  • Create, negotiate and close contract agreements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales quota.
  • Attend industry functions, events and conferences.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 1-2+ years of sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to overcome objections and drive sales.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be outgoing and self-motivated.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience working with Salesforce preferred.
  • Business development experience preferred.
  • Customer facing experience in a technology/software role preferred.
