The Contractor shall provide a Software Test Engineer who will have progressive experience with network management and analysis tools such as Solar Winds. The Contractor will have a solid working technical knowledge of software applications, protocols, and standards; hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience; knowledge of network security measures; and of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Experience
The Software Test Engineer shall:

• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Set up test environments, design test plans, develop test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and execute these cases.
• Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to NSM Management.

Education

• IT certifications are a plus.
• A degree in the field of computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
