Join us as an Assistant Trainmaster and you'll be looking at a
career-defining role based in Baltimore, Maryland.

As an Assistant Trainmaster, you will be responsible for developing,
creating and distributing appropriate messages during service disruptions and
incidents to stakeholders and to passengers using various social media outlets.
Format information and enter into databases.


Consult with internal and external parties to monitor situation during
service delays and incidents and develop messages for distribution to various

Track and log incidents, malfunctions, delays, and accidents in a
computerized log or database and develop required reports.

Manage bus bridges per the department SOPs during planned outages and
service disruptions.

Receive reports of disruptions and deficiencies occurring at stations,
such as ticket vending machine and other malfunctions, and forwards such
information to MARC and those responsible for maintenance and repair.

Receive calls around security concerns and you will be responsible for
forwarding this information to security and/or law enforcement as required.

Handle management of the work force during shift, ensuring that crew
duties are accomplished in compliance with applicable collective bargaining

Position has a variable shift work and is subject to working weekends,
overnight shifts, and/or being on call.

Exhibit excellent organizational, time management, and communication


Basic Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years of experience working in the railroad
