Business Development Manager

You're a confident communicator. You consider yourself a people-person. You work well with others and can confidently communicate, whether in-person, on the phone or via email, with a variety of people, including those you have never met. You have a strong ability to explain and demonstrate products and services, educating the customer on what the business offers.

You possess a relationship focused mindset. As a sales professional, you understand the importance of always providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. You maintain a professional yet, relationship focused approach to providing world class service to your customers. Customers often consider you a friend and rely on you to educate them on new and innovate product offerings.

You are not easily shaken. You have thick skin and can overcome objection by providing clear value and quality for customers. You are motivated by no and often find yourself innovating and adapting within the sales environment to achieve your goals.

The status quote is not good enough for you. You consider yourself highly ambitious and stop at nothing to achieve your professional goals. You are hungry to grow and learn and are determined to bring a business value through your contributions. You often look at sales quota as a starting point and find yourself surpassing the minimum expectations.

You thrive in a team environment. You prefer to work along sided a group of people than independently. Though you are a leader, you inspire and work alongside your direct reports- always emphasizing the team and company goals. You take a healthy competitive approach to sales and jump in to support colleagues in achieving their goals.

You have strong leadership skills. You pride yourself in being able to train and mentor those around you. You have a deep understanding of how to motivate individuals while driving business success through effective selling.

Day-to-Day Work Examples:

  • Visit existing customers daily- building relationships and providing valuable solutions to their business through our ROC program

  • Become a subject matter expert in Partsmaster's selling methodology, and be responsible for the training and development of new recruits

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities through prospecting and cold calling to expand Partsmaster's customer base

  • Establish and implements sales plans as needed to support all target markets; achieves sales goals associated with revenue and profit targets

  • Work with the sales team members, guide them, evaluate business opportunities, and promote products and services to expand your customer base

  • Overseeing and managing the entire sales process within the defined territory

Growth Opportunities:

  • Complete a 12 month Business Development program; transitioning to a manager level role upon completion

  • Build and manage a team of 4-6 new and experienced sales professionals to achieve and surpass individual and department goals

  • Train and develop new recruits to be successful sales professionals within the organization

  • Facilitate on-boarding and training for new sales associates

  • Coach, mentor, provide feedback and improve the skill set and productivity of the team
