We're currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in Boston. If you are interested in working on complex projects and using the latest technologies and analytic methods to change the way projects are delivered in the built environment, then Arup is the place for you. We've been in the Boston market for 20 years, and our team works on both local and international projects like Northeastern University ISEC, Harvard Art Museums, the Green Line Extension, and Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort in Singapore. By joining our Boston office, you will:

  • Lead a variety of medium to large-scale complex projects (healthcare, higher-education, laboratories, and infrastructure)

  • Gain experience working on diverse projects across all of our major business sectors including healthcare, higher-education, laboratories, energy, and infrastructure

  • Mentor our junior staff and collaborate with exceptional multi-disciplinary teams leveraging our experience at the local, regional, and global levels

  • Work directly with our clients and manage key relationships while helping to develop business opportunities

  • Have opportunities for advancement in a rapidly growing office

  • Undertake electrical systems design, predominantly for building projects, including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems

  • Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls

  • Prepare and review drawings detailing the design

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering

  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals as they relate to building systems and site servicing

  • Experience with 3D BIM/CAD software such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP

  • 8 or more years' experience working in the built environment on medium to large-scale projects

  • PE license or ability to obtain license within six months

  • LEED AP is preferred
