Job Description:

Fidelity's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is looking for an experienced Cyber Fraud Investigator to join our Cyber Investigations Team in our fight against cyber criminals. The Cyber Fraud Investigator will participate in daily operations involving the enhanced detection, prevention, and technical investigation of cyber fraud events involving our clients. The position is heavily team-oriented and works cross-functionally across all lines of business and global security, including Fraud Surveillance, Legal, Compliance and Enterprise Cyber Security.

The ideal candidate will bring existing technical skills, a proven investigative mindset, and a strong desire to solve problems and find answers. To be successful, the candidate will field front-line cyber fraud alerts, provide technical investigative analysis while leveraging cyber threat intelligence, communicate analytical findings to other team members, and make recommendations that will make us better at protecting our clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5-7 years of experience in technical analysis related to cyber fraud and/or information security
  • Familiarity with cyber fraud, technical threats, technology risk, and privacy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, while leveraging the skills, knowledge, and expertise of other team members to accomplish tasks
  • Possess the ability multi-task across a variety of responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Has strong skills as a Unix/Linux power user (proficient with command line utilities, Shell scripting)
  • Experience with Python script development
  • Experience with data search software such as Splunk, Snowflake, Kafka.
  • Proven experience processing millions of lines of data with only built-in Unix binaries
  • Ability to develop complex SQL queries for relevant data extraction
  • Ability to perform correlation and analysis of logs from disparate internal systems to identify potentially fraudulent events
  • Ability to collate data from multiple digital fraud and security tools for deeper threat insights using advanced analytics
  • Familiarity with enterprise solutions for digital identity intelligence and digital authentication
  • Able to recognize and adapt to rapidly changing fraud patterns
  • Participate in the development of new fraud detection rules, or modification of existing rules, in a fast paced and rapidly changing cyber threat landscape
  • Possess knowledge of Back End systems supporting financial transactions data
  • Have knowledge of the current cyber fraud landscape and the principles, processes, procedures and trends of fraud prevention
  • Can clearly communicate technical analytical findings in a way that can be understood by both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Function as a technical SME to research and analyze log activity and various technical resources to detect and remediate emerging cyber fraud threats
  • Brokerage or Financial Services experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required. Technology-related discipline preferred
