Under the supervision of their direct supervisor, provides technical support to operations/estimating staff. Reviews specifications, plans, contracts and other technical documents in order to provide comprehensive evaluation of scope, schedule, risks, and opportunities related to a specific project or project pursuit. Individual will be able to develop project cost estimates, and project schedules using Critical Path Method. Participate and assist in the comprehensive development of alternative delivery project proposals, including technical writing and coordination of internal/external resources for content generation. Develop presentations for upper level management related to specific project pursuits. Evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for comparison purposes as they relate to contract compliance and best value selection. Assist in start-up, turnover and monitoring of awarded projects to construction project management teams.

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, project support or estimating of transportation infrastructure projects
  • Intimate knowledge of CPM scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred) and transportation construction sequencing and logic
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred computer knowledge in JD Edwards, HCSS
  • Ability to adequately manage time to meet strict deadlines and constraints
  • Valid California driver's license, clean driving record
