Summary The Financial Analyst position duties will include month-end, productivity, statistical reporting and other various routine tasks, including expense report approval and AP coding. This position will also assist in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets. Assist in the development of service lines and process improvements. This position will be involved with identifying financial opportunities and measuring effects of change. In addition, the position will assist in the preparation of performs for strategic business plan initiatives, evaluation of existing payor contracts and operational efficiencies through analysis of existing operations. This position will assist in financial development of management, staff, physicians and other outside agencies as well as reporting of hospital data to state and federal agencies. The Finance Dept. reviews operational inefficiencies or opportunities through process improvement, new program development and cost savings initiatives. The team analyzes financial and operating outcomes including monthly revenue cycle, productivity and departmental expense review. The team develops and analyzes the operating and capital budgets as well as the five year strategic plan for Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Sharp Grossmont Hospital is the largest not-for-profit, full-service acute care hospital in the region with 536 beds. The hospital has outstanding programs in heart care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, robotic surgery, mental health, stroke care and women's health.
