GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. NFL Project Manager plays a major role in Oakley's North American organization via leadership of the NFL partnership, proactively driving, planning, and executing deliverables related to the NFL contract. Bridging multiple internal and external partners, the Sr. Manager delivers the end to end go-to-market strategy. The Sr. Manager is accountable for executing marketing and sales strategies, while maintaining brand equity. The Sr. Manager defines and drives adoption of new approaches by spearheading transformation across all cross functional and sales channels to optimize NFL opportunities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project lead on Oakley/NFL relationship
  • Spearheads maximization of NFL and football opportunities
  • Leads projects for all NFL actions, including contract deliverables, marketing, and sales
  • Identifies opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, competitor share/strengths/weaknesses, projected business forecast, and targeted market share
  • Identifies project risks and develop alternative solutions to drive seamless project outcomes
  • Proactively leads and collaborates with key partners to align and deliver all NFL integrated plans on time and in full
  • Serves as critical thought leader on short and long-term vision
  • Manages spend against contract and business plan
  • Maintains commercial accountability across all channels, including forecasting/developing annual sales forecast, and working with Sales to ensure monthly sales goal delivery
  • Develops and plans all key GTM milestones to deliver on the NFL partnership
  • Drives KPI'S to achieve strategic objectives and goals
  • Ensures effective communication across key stakeholders
  • Supports long-term product and GTM roadmap
  • Improves product marketability by identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, and new product development with the product team
  • Coordinates logistics with internal teams to ensure business needs are met and assets are delivered timely
  • Fosters collaborative relationships with internal partners to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives and business processes
  • Identifies and documents project and technical challenges and brings to resolution
  • Establishes processes and tools to efficiently analyze overall effectiveness
  • Facilitates project post mortems and documents findings
  • Recommends and influences project best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Mgmt, Marketing, or related
  • 8+ years project management experience or equivalent, including sport performance or adjacent industry
  • Exceptional organization, project, and prioritization skills
  • Strong computer, spreadsheets and document/report formatting, graphics, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of accountability to deliverables
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Commercial background in sales and sales budget
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Business acumen and background in commercial sales

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience implementing successful project management protocols
  • Strong understanding of the sport industry
  • Experience in commercial sales
