Job Summary/Purpose: The Director, Spine Center reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Under limited supervision, the Director, Spine Center provides leadership and management for overall operation and strategic direction of the Spine Center. This position ensures execution of MUHA policies and policies and procedures, and efficient systems and programs to provide optimal care for patients. This role is responsible for the establishment and achievement of financial, growth, quality, people and service targets. This position designs, plans and implements programs and services to support medical center goals and improve the health of the communities served.

Minimum Training and Education: A master's degree from an accredited college/university in hospital administration, healthcare administration, business administration, master of public health or a related graduate level degree with a minimum of ten years work experience in a leadership role, preferably in healthcare management, required. Substantial experience in a complex medical center environment and experience relevant to the service line is desirable. An in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry and trends is necessary. Expertise in goal setting, budget management, performance improvement/quality and management of staff is needed. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with others, and to effectively oversee complex operational functions (finance, marketing, performance improvement/quality and staffing) is necessary.
