Job Summary/Purpose: The Director, Supply Chain Support is a Systems role for Supply Chain Management that reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer. Under limited supervision, the Director, Supply Chain Support is responsible for the overall administration of multiple, complex Supply Chain Management support systems for MUSC Health. This position administers the supply systems' activities utilizing best practice and functions as the primary resource to all levels of management for all Supply Chain Management Support systems. Responsible for budgeting and statistical activities for the department(s). In addition, this position is the subject matter expert for developing meaningful data driven reporting and communication for all Supply Chain manager levels, and MUSC management needing or desiring key supply chain metrics and information.

Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or an appropriate technical discipline and ten (10) years of progressive responsibility in healthcare materials management, inventory management, and analytics is required; or a Master's Degree in business administration, health care administration, a related or technical field is preferred with a minimum of eight years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting; with two to four years' experience in Supply Chain Management Support Systems (ex: Pyxis, MSCM, GHX). Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain Management Support Systems, and exposure to Supply Chain Management principles (including but not limited to purchasing, receiving, inventory control management, distribution, accounting, and analytics) preferred. Customer service focus, strong analytical skills, experience in quality assurance activities, and demonstrated personnel management ability essential. Ability to perform on both a strategic and tactical level is critical.
