Responsible for the financial reporting process (internal and external) of Ally Invest Group and subsidiaries, including the monthly closing process and the preparation of financial statements accompanying the independent audit report.
Responsible for the financial regulatory reporting activities of Ally Invest Securities.
Responsible for the financial statements of the regulated entities Ally Invest Forex and Advisors with no specific financial regulatory reporting requirements.
Responsible for the Financial Operations Program of the BU that insures the accuracy of financial reporting and oversees the financial policies, controls, processes and supervisory procedures in such Program.
Responsible for the maintenance of regulatory required capital as defined in SEC Rule 15c3-1 and CFTC Regulation 1.12 of regulated subsidiaries.
Responsible for periodic regulatory financial and annual audit reporting for all regulated entities as required under SEC Rules 17A-5 and 17A-11.
Leads a team responsible for the monthly and quarterly close as well as all associated financial data and reporting, including preparation of historical financial statements, results of operations, and key performance indicator reports and metrics.
Responsible for the design and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and actions as appropriate to control and protect the companys assets and address recommendations identified in internal and/or external audits.
Works closely with internal auditors, external auditors and Sarbanes-Oxley functions in the broader organization.
Committee membership includes:
BU Steering Committee and the Enterprise Financial Controls Committee (voting member).
Enterprise Accounting Policy and Global Valuation Committee (participating member).
Monitors all accounting and regulatory guidance and keeps BU Executives informed of all relevant financial issues affecting the firm.
Partners with executive management in assessing accounting and reporting impacts of new business strategies, as well as designing appropriate processes and controls to address all new strategic initiatives.
Responsible for the development of intercompany cost sharing arrangement in compliance with Federal Regulations.
Qualifications
Certifications Required:
Series 27 license and FINOP of record.
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent background. CPA required and domain expertise in online broker dealer or digital wealth management preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum 10+ years experience in financial services industry required.
Experience in financial advisory or digital brokerage environment strongly desired.
Knowledge of FINRA and industry regulations/compliance.
Proficient in MS Office applications and accounting software applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong financial planning and quantitative skills with experience in P&L management.
Experience in financial controls and oversight of key data and processes supporting the preparation of the financial results.

Understanding how to operate within a highly regulated industry.
Ability to work at a very detailed level, as well as synthesize and present key action items/insights at executive levels.
Able to make decisions authoritatively and wisely, after adequate contemplating various sources of information and input.
Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
