This effort is part of a larger initiative, led by Commercial HVAC engineering, at driving increased efficiencies through people, processes, and tools. The candidate, working across global sites and functions; will find opportunities, collect requirements, define solutions, develop implementation plans, implement and support the solutions. This will require leading global team members, spanning multiple functions, and interacting with resources at various interpersonal levels. The applicant will be responsible for communication to leadership in providing progress updates, anticipating challenges, and accomplishments.The candidate is to have a solid understanding of new product development and sustaining processes. Experience and strong working knowledge of Creo and Windchill is required! Demonstrating Creo across engineering fields, operational functions and a solid understanding of BOM and change management practices is also beneficial. The candidate is to have the ability to effectively communicate with global team members at varying organizational levels!*Key Responsibilities:*+ Work closely with global new product development teams in finding opportunities and drive value realization.+ Coordinate with Engineering and Platform management to drive global component/part re-use within and across the product platforms.+ Establish global design standards; coordinating standards definition, deployment, adoption, and ongoing support.+ Creo domain specialist; defining, deploying, and supporting related standards within but not limited to drawings, 3D modeling and assembly construction, and management.+ Supervise the effective utilization of Creo related areas (Schematic, Cabling, Large Assembly Management, Top-Down Design, Automation via Sigmaxim's Smart Assembly, CreoView, etc.).+ Drive the transition to a MBD (Model Based Definition) environment.+ Ensure the global methodology is being followed, supervise, and report issues and make continuous improvements.+ Coordinate methodology adoption, identifying, and mitigating anticipated risks.+ Consult and mentor regional Design Leads and product development teams.+ Ensure communication for immediate team members, partners, and leadership.+ Lead training efforts by defining requirements, generating documentation, and delivery.+ Support changes required to make the global methodology initiatives successful; this will include key areas of communication, capability assessment and build-out plan, knowledge transfer, training, and interpersonal alignment.+ Serve as a business unit focal point interacting with the central Engineering System team, to address Creo configuration modifications, upgrades, and other related needs.+ Oversee and direct external resources.*Experience:*10+ years in the industry.New product development and product sustaining processes.Strong Creo knowledge and Windchill familiarity.Awareness of the Bill of Material (BOM) and product change management practices.Project management.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Can work effectively in a global team environment.Strong social skills and self-motivated.*_Carrier is An Equal_*.*_Opportunity/Affirmative_*.*_Action Employer.
