Summary

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will lead the administration of Sealed Air's Corporate Financial Planning systems, primarily the Hyperion Planning applications, in support of Sealed Air's monthly forecast, annual budget and strategic planning processes. The role will provide both technical and functional support as part of the Corporate Financial Systems group to ensure accurate and timely reporting for all forecasting and planning activities for Sealed Air Corporation. This role will require interaction within the finance, business and IT teams.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and administration of Sealed Air's Corporate Financial systems, primarily the planning applications in support of the Annual Operating Plan (Budget), the monthly forecast and the strategic plan processes
• Work with key stakeholders and end users to effectively determine needs, define business requirements and expand functionality and usage of Hyperion Essbase/Planning.
• Support and/or lead system projects and enhancement requests, including gathering of requirements and best practices, blueprint, design and configuration, implementation, testing, training, and post-implementation support
• Maintenance of the Hyperion Planning applications including metadata (dimension) maintenance, Data Forms, Calc Manager and hands-on Essbase experience creating and modifying Calc Scripts, Report Scripts, MaxL and Load Rules
• Shared Services Security Administration
• Drive continuous improvement in the system capabilities and analytical functions
• Work collaboratively on projects with Corporate Financial Systems (CFS) team members to develop robust and efficient solutions to customer needs
• Support system users as follows:
- Training of staff to improve analysis
- Create training manuals and guides
- Answer questions regarding assumptions and logic in reporting/analysis models
- Assist with technical issues related to the software
- Troubleshoot data integrity issues as they arise
• Supporting various projects and initiatives as assigned by the Corporate Financial Systems Director. Includes training and knowledge transfer initiatives with the Finance group.
• Maintaining documentation on key systems and processes.
• Supporting SOX testing requirements for systems that directly support external reporting.
• Maintain excellent working relationship with IT personnel to ensure support at all levels
• Responsible for maintaining and developing Oracle tables and procedures used in Planning applications
• Lead on Planning and Essbase related system activity

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related area.
• Minimum 7 years technical experience with Oracle Hyperion 11x Essbase/Planning (both EPMA & Classic)
• Experience with SmartView and Financial Reporting
• Experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM)
• Experience with FDMEE, ODI or Informatica (ETL tools) desirable
• Experience with Windows Office applications along with advanced Excel skills (including macros) is desirable.
• Experience with relational databases (ie. Oracle, MS SQL, Access) is desirable.
• Experience with programming languages, including SQL, and writing Scripting in VBScript, DOS, and batch Scripting is desirable
• Experience with infrastructure, server set-up and optimization for Hyperion Suite and experience applying patches to Hyperion environments
• Experience working with financial statements
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities showing initiative and customer focus in a deadline sensitive environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines
