As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for leading the product management and User Experience (UX) Engineers. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Build industry-changing applications for the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) industry
  • Drive product vision and feature definitions by gathering feedback from end users
  • Coordinate development and testing with the Development, QA, FABP and Accounting teams
  • Design web, desktop and reporting interfaces
  • Develop wireframes, mockups and user stories
  • Perform statistical analyses for implementing optimal decisions regarding pricing, operational efficiency and route optimization
  • Define and propose a strategic vision, for the key stakeholders, that will create a competitive advantage
  • Coordinate the rollout, training and implementation of the software products to all the business locations

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 1 year of experience designing web software products
  • 5 years of experience designing and optimizing business processes
  • 5 years of team management experience
  • Experience in freight brokerage or logistics
  • Experience documenting business requirements in one or more project delivery methodologies, eg, agile, scrum, etc.

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline
  • Management consulting background
  • Experience with a wire-framing tool such as Omnigraffle or Balsamiq
  • Knowledge of usability and user experience
