Key Accountabilities

This person is primarily responsible for leading centralized planning supporting ARYZTA's North America bakeries. This requires supervision of teams in multiple locations, buildout of Demand and Supply planning capability, and ensuring that general planning functions support and improve strategic initiatives for growth within the company. Key responsibilities include; articulating challenges, threats and opportunities at a high level to an executive audience, ensuring that the planning group supports internal stakeholders, leading a team involved in all cycles of the planning cycle and ensuring ongoing adherence and improvement in an S&OP system.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Monitor system-wide inventory levels on a macro-level and work with the planning team to ensure in-stock conditions and anticipate upcoming threats before they materialize.
  • Develop annual budgets while identifying areas of savings through identification of optimization opportunities or efficiency gains.
  • Provide root cause analysis and report findings to internal stakeholders (including at an executive level).
  • Develop and publish metrics to support best practices, consistent KPI's and reporting.
  • Ensure maintenance of Product Group and Master Data settings to optimize planning efficiency and effectiveness plus protect the integrity of data warehousing.
  • Develop optimal planning processes and system support. Drive action plans for ongoing process improvement.
  • Responsible for performing or coordinating alternative Supply Chain scenarios or gap analysis for new business, P&L/RFP, or mergers and acquisitions.
  • Balance Planning Group resources through periodic workload analysis.
  • Build and maintain a team of high performing planning professionals.

    Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven record of successful process improvement and change management
  • Extensive strategic Planning experience; Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain & Logistics
  • Experience in both corporate and plant environments in a food or consumer goods company
  • Communication and presentation experience with Senior Executive staff
  • Experience with ERP and Network Optimization systems (SAP preferred)
  • BS in Business/Logistics/Operations, MBA or Supply Chain specific Master's required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Process Improvement, Project Management, and Strategic Planning
  • Achievement of industry certification preferred (ex: APICS)
