ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR

Medical Laboratory Science Program

UNIVERSITY of CINCINNATI

The University of Cincinnati Medical Laboratory Science Program is searching for adjunct faculty to facilitate various MLS courses in the distance learning track . Courses vary by semester but may include:

  • Hematology
  • Hemostasis
  • Immunohematology
  • Statistics
  • Clinical Microbiology
  • Clinical Chemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Molecular Diagnostics
  • Laboratory Operations (Management)

Responsibilities include leading a cohort of MLS students through course material, grading assignments, monitoring student participation, participation in weekly conference calls and office hours, adherence to program and college policies and procedures, and maintaining communication with MLS program faculty, staff, and students.

Position Minimum Qualifications: MLS Certification (ASCP). Three (3) years of clinical laboratory experience. Candidates should also have basic computer and Internet literacy and be comfortable working through minor trouble-shooting issues alone or with the help of technology support staff.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree is preferred, but candidates with a Bachelor's of Science will be considered. Teaching experience, classroom or bench, is preferred.
