Assistant Professor - Educator (French)

A&S Department of Romance Languages & Literature

UNIVERSITY of CINCINNATI

The Department of Romance Languages & Literatures at the University of Cincinnati invites applicants for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor - Educator of French. Desired specialties: SLA, Applied Linguistics, Distance Learning, technology assisted language learning. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, three to five-year appointment with benefits and opportunity for renewal and promotion(s). Responsibilities include teaching French at all levels, developing and coordinating courses and possibly, developing and coordinating study abroad programs and certificates. Experience in French for the Professions, coordination, study abroad programs, developing distance learning programs, and multi-media technologies are highly desirable.

Typical duties include teaching 12-15 credits per semester, academic advising, and service. If coordination is involved, the teaching load would be reduced to 9-11 cr per semester

Salary is commensurate with qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:Master's Degree in French Linguistics or a PhD (preferred). Appointment begins August 15, 2018. Native or near-native fluency in French required.
