The Cleveland Orchestra has been for decades a point of pride in its hometown. We are currently seeking a Development Operations Associate who will be a key member of Development Operations in the Philanthropy and Advancement Department and is responsible for supporting the data management functions of the team.

Responsibilities include processing and acknowledging contributions; tracking, processing, archiving and reconciling daily gift transactions; overseeing regular automated credit card billing; assisting with tracking pledges; following up as necessary with patrons; tracking honorary and memorial gifts for publications; coordinating acknowledgement cards/letters; preparing deposits and pledge reports for processing; and updating donor information in Tessitura.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in office administration or data entry.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated independent, mature judgment.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional image and demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn and use various database and planning software; familiarity with Tessitura or similar Customer Relationship Management system highly desirable.
  • Be available to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
