Today, Osborn Engineering provides technology, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering services for a wide range of project types. In addition to our engineering services, we also provide sustainability design, energy management and commissioning services for our clients.

Our technology group primarily focuses on the healthcare, education, entertainment and media market sectors. As these markets continue to grow for our technology practice, we are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Senior Technology Engineer to manage and motivate our technology engineering staff. Although not a requirement, candidates with experience in our primary market sectors is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management for Technology Projects

Provide expertise and high level consulting to create effective and design solutions

Makes recommendations, educate clients and peers, and mentor professional technology staff on current and future technology solutions

Research new technology applicable to our projects Interact with internal and external consultants for multi-discipline coordination

Pursue best practices for technology design

Develop internal methodology to produce and complete design projects in an efficient matter

Coordinate weekly activities of technology staff to ensure timely delivery of technology design packages

Coordinate with other department manager to assure proper project staffing

Review technology design packages for QA/QC

Research tools and resources to help develop internal expertise of technology staff

Manage client relationships

Collaborate with Technology Department Manager to develop group goals and track progress

Work with Business Development Manager and VP of Technology and Entertainment to generate new business

Key Qualifications

Must have Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Must have minimum +12 years' experience in Technology Engineering

Must have BICSI & Infocomm Certifications

Must be fluent in AutoCAD

Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel

Must have excellent communication skills - both oral and written

Must have leadership qualities and experience managing professional staff

Must have extensive technical design experience in structured cabling, security design, A/V design and basic network layout design

Experience in the healthcare, higher education, K-12, entertainment, sports and/or media market sectors a plus

Experience with Revit a plus

Experience with Microsoft Project a plus

Experience with Business Development and Marketing for Technology Services to New Clients a plus

Experience with other low voltage systems a plus

Experience with Technology Master Planning a plus

Experience with System Integration a plus Competitive benefits package includes profit sharing.
