The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. We are creating a new fully centralized Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in our corporate headquarters near Boulder, Colorado, to support a growing company of 37 resorts across Australia, Canada and the United States, 55,000+ employees, and a market capitalization of over $9 billion. The Project Manager, Process Management - FPO will operate within a brand-new team that will oversee all enterprise process management for the entire FP&A organization. This role will partner with FP&A leaders to drive efficient process design and execution with a specific focus of meeting prioritized stakeholder needs both internally and externally. The Project Manager will drive improvements to optimize our FP&A efforts as this newly formed team will be a critical leverage point to make the new centralized structure successful.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the Company's FP&A operating cadence and commitments are met in support of the Executive Committee and senior leadership teams across Finance, other corporate functions, and business segments
  • Proactively partner with Enterprise and Divisional FP&A teams to provide solutions that drive process improvements in a streamlined, efficient and sustainable manner.
  • Partner with Divisional FP&A to deliver training and documentation for major planning and recurring business processes.
  • Support execution of:
    • Critical enterprise-wide processes, including annual operating and capital budgeting, recurring forecasts, monthly financial review process, Board of Directors quarterly deliverables, etc.
    • Own FP&A calendar management and process design for critical enterprise-wide processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outstanding academic credentials; Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
  • 7+ years, or 5+ years with a MBA, of experience in FP&A and/or project management.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver against critical enterprise-wide process execution and strategic projects through well-constructed and communicated operational plans aligned to key stakeholder outputs and deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of key business concepts and performance metrics (financial and operational).
  • Ability to apply natural curiosity regarding business results and insights while consistently identifying ways to improve management and execution of key processes.
