Manage the Accounts Payable functions for assigned critical supplier accounts. Duties include but are not limited to managing communications with vendors, operations and AP staff. Ensure that invoices are processed accurately in a timely manner, problems are resolved quickly, vendor statements are reconciled and monthly accruals are accurate and validated.

Work to ensure accurate and timely inventory counts, monthly adjustments, journal entries, and reconciliations are complete for inventory locations. Manage a subset of the company's inventory holding locations, from an accounting, systems and controls perspective. Also, support the creation, development and maintenance of inventory policies and procedures and help to ensure that these procedures are being followed and are efficient.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Arrange, monitor and manage monthly inventory valuations and counts for various inventory locations. Ensure inventory counts for all locations are scheduled and completed on a regular and timely basis.
  • Perform monthly adjustments, journal entries and reconciliations in PeopleSoft
  • Perform inventory month-end fluctuation analysis
  • Support the creation, development and maintenance of inventory policies and procedures and help to ensure that these procedures are followed
  • Identify areas of opportunity that would increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the department and implement solutions
  • Support analysis, problem-solving and issue resolution by researching inventory issues within the inventory and financial systems
  • Process invoices for critical suppliers and assist with other vendors
  • Resolve open invoices/credits and maintain supplier relationships
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Ensure SOX Compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Act as a resource and role model for others in the department
  • Demonstrate positive and professional attitude toward staff, co-workers, internal and external customers, and management
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and manner

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, OnBase, AS400 and Coupa preferred
  • Computer literacy and technical versatility. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel is preferred
  • Understanding of inventory processes and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, effective written & oral communication skills, and strong attention to detail
