Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Works with the Supervisor in ensuring integrity of financial information for development, tenant improvement, capital projects, third party construction and depreciation activity in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policy and contractual relationships.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place to mitigate risk of material misstatement of financial statements. This is accomplished by reconciliation, analysis and execution of various tasks and identified internal control activities within the development department.
  • Perform assigned month-end activities for assigned processes such as Development, Capital Expenditure, Tenant Improvement, Depreciation and/or Third Party Construction. Propose and/or record monthly journal entries including labor allocations, PIS, Capitalized Operating Expense, Depreciation Expense, and expense accruals. Prepare tenant billings as necessary. Prepare required variance analysis and financial projections as required. Ensure internal controls are maintained.
  • Support the consolidated review and maintenance of the job cost ledger. Review activity for data integrity. Identify and resolve any discrepancies. Set up and close jobs, update job statuses, monitor approved budget vs actual and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and review PAY invoices to and vendor Contracts/Change orders to ensure timely vendor payment and recording as well as proper coding.
