We are looking for a Director of Human Resources who will provide strategic leadership for the Human Resources Operations function for Dover Food Retail. The candidate chosen for this position will HR leadership for approximately 10 manufacturing locations totaling more than 2000+ employees; with the focus on enhancing employee relations, driving transformational change, organizational design, operational efficiency, and talent management.

Essential Competencies:

Provides strategic vision that will focus on enhancing employee relations, driving transformational change, organizational design, operational efficiency, and talent management
Drive organization alignment - refine organization in line with business strategy
Overall coordination and oversight of human resources support to assure consistency and effectiveness, identifying trends for opportunities for improvement in support of overall organizational effectiveness and employee engagement, developing and deploying actions plans accordingly
Drives quantitative decision-making leveraging available data and building systems/process that will yield data to enable strong decisions
Uses coaching, consulting and facilitation skills with leaders to influence behavior and business decisions consistent with Dover Food Retail values and expectations
Maintains positive employee relations by creating a responsive, open environment and being available to associates to facilitate open and continuous communication
Partners with leadership staff to assist in resolving employee relations issues and complaints while identifying ways to reduce the number of concerns and issues through early intervention and prevention.
Facilitates communications throughout the organization
Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
Provide guidance and counsel to leaders and employees regarding programs, policies and procedures for optimal organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited university, strong preference for fields of industrial/organizational psychology or human resources management
Minimum 7 years HR Business Partner experience in a manufacturing setting
Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship

Preferred Competencies:

MBA preferred
7+ years supervisory experience strongly preferred

Strong strategic thinking skills with ability to develop long-term strategic plans and follow-up action plan to execute on these deliverables
Experience in organizational design and development - ability to align organizations given strategic business needs
Ability to drive change transformation - both culturally, organizationally, and through process enhancement
Strong leadership style and skills; ability to coach, motivate, influence, develop and mentor both the HR organization as well as other leaders and managers in the organization
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resource administration including strong knowledge of wage and hour, employment and labor laws and regulations
High degree of project management, process management and process improvement capabilities, including analytical skills to support action planning and decision making
Excellent facilitation/coaching skills; strong employee relations skills with the proven ability to: drive and influence change, manage conflict, and foster an environment of positive employee relations at all levels of the organization
Strong professional presence and high ethical standards of conduct; ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
Resourceful and well organized
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite products and HRIS systems
Ability to balance the needs of multiple and competing stakeholders and priorities
