The Business Consultant I - Business Banking Clients (BC I) is responsible for revenue growth through complete ownership and accountability for existing client relationships generating $15K-$30k (Silver) in annual revenue within an assigned portfolio of significant size. This position will be predominately phone based, but travel to see local clients and high value clients on an exception basis. The BC I will act both as the Business Consultant and Business Analyst for the assigned portfolio. The position has cross sell responsibilities and provides the ability to sell the full suite of Bank of America Merchant Services solutions to Business Banking segment clients with net revenues not exceeding $100K. This is accomplished by using a solution-based, consultative selling approach designed to help clients grow their businesses. Through needs assessment and application of consultative strategies, the BC I will strengthen client and business partner relationships, ensuring clients are equipped with current industry vertical and related payment industry requirements, including security, compliance, loyalty, mobility and growth strategies.

Essential Functions

  • Associates Degree
  • 3+ years of sales/portfolio management experience
  • Knowledge of acquiring and merchant processing industry

  • Experience selling Merchant, Bankcard, Payment Processing or Financial Services.
  • Technologically savvy; comfortable with tablet and cloud-based solutions and able to apply technology to help grow small businesses

Experience

  • Associates Degree
  • 3+ years of sales/portfolio management experience
  • Knowledge of acquiring and merchant processing industry, preferably in a large client environment (as measured by revenues)

Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn various sales applications.

Travel

  • Travel is required to perform essential functions of the role.
