Our team is primarily located out of our New York, Washington D.C., London and Singapore offices, with some team members located in other locations such as Boston and California. Our global scope allows us to provide innovative and comprehensive privacy solutions and services to leading multi-national organizations. We work with leading companies across industries, including Financial Services, Technology, Pharma, Life Sciences, Media, Entertainment, Auto and Retail, and provide privacy services related to strategy and design, regulatory change management and building/tooling/operationalizing programs. We also provide managed privacy services as an outsourced service to support the operations of client privacy programs. Current engagements include work on strategy and target operating models, CCPA/GDPR, privacy related governance, frameworks, documentation, process, notices, choices/consent management, program operations, risk assessments, data mapping, cross-border data transfer, third party assessments, tooling, AI governance and cloud migration. We are also working with IBM on leading technology products, services and solutions related to Cloud, AI and Blockchain. The Promontory team is diverse, talented and passionate about its work. As part of the privacy practice, you will work within a team of senior industry figures and experienced professionals, including many former Chief Privacy Officers. You will be intellectually challenged and will play a role in how privacy evolves in our increasingly digital world. As a Principal you will work and often lead teams helping organizations address complex compliance and risk management challenges relating to privacy, data protection, digital ethics, cyber/information security and information risk. Principals are responsible for managing engagements including providing advice to clients, with respect to governance, regulatory requirements, and strategic decisions..*PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* + Ability to interact comfortably with Privacy Office, Compliance or Legal resources including Chief Privacy Officers, Senior Privacy Managers, Counsel and regulatory authorities as needed. + Act as Promontory's engagement delivery lead and client's initial point of contact for engagement delivery on a daily basis. + Oversee project deliverables and deliver as an individual contributor where expected. + Lead research and analyse legal or regulatory requirements, including as developed through administrative or judicial proceedings. + Manage compliance and risk assessments including privacy impact assessments and the review, classification and mapping of client data processing and data flows + Prepare client reports and other engagement deliverables and lead meetings and presentations, which often include senior executives or directors of the client + Play a hands-on role in business development, such as drafting proposals, representing Promontory at industry events and participating in meetings with current or potential clients + Able to track project budget and team resources and escalate to senior team members as required. + Travel as required to client sites in the United States and internationally.
